Senderos del Mar, Hotel con AC, Piscina, cerca de Tayrona

Senderos Del Mar is romantic, relaxing, fun, and family friendly. The setup lets you enjoy the birds and wildlife without even leaving your hammock. I spotted a whistling heron while having supper one afternoon, and there are birds everywhere. A few resident bats seem to keep the local mosquitoes in check. With the pool, A/C, and at least three fantastic chefs making amazing food, you might never want to leave. But if you do head out, Mendihuaca nearby is stunning, with lifeguards on duty and good waves. I heard that kind of surf is rare in Colombia, but this seems to be the place for it. I rented a twin fin and had a blast surfing the short period wind swell. Body-surfing was even better. A 25-minute walk from Senderos brings you to Playa Linda, with great birdwatching and animal tracking. If the clouds clear, you may even see the snow-covered Sierra Nevada range rising above the palms and tropical jungle. I can’t wait to go back!

The staff made our stay, especially Alex and Alexandra. Alexandra cooked delicious food and was so helpful, while Alex and the rest of the team gave us great tips on what to see and where to go. We had a fabulous three nights and were sorry to leave so soon. Great atmosphere, and we’d happily come back.

The grounds, rooms, gardens, and pool were all spotless, and the whole place felt lovely for relaxing. Staff were warm and quick to help, which made me feel at home throughout my stay at Senderos del Mar. Meals were another highlight, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From the welcome onward, the service was thoughtful and professional. I had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Senderos del Mar is a great choice for clean surroundings, good food, and attentive service.
