The power and water at Cabo de la Vela are available for just four hours a day, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. I also arrived with a reservation I’d made through the app, but when I called to ask where Cabo de la Vela was, they said they had no room for me. Unbelievable.

We stayed in a bedroom at Chinchorro, right by the beach. It’s a private spot with a magical view, and a lovely place to have lunch or stay while you’re in Cabo de la Vela.
