Casa hotel Tsalach

We were in Cali for a wedding and found the hotel in a safe, pleasant part of the city, with plenty of restaurants nearby as well as the hotel’s own restaurant. The included breakfast was delicious: you could order à la carte, and keep ordering. Our room was large and clean, and they accommodated my call asking to change rooms before we arrived. I’d wanted a king bed, but the room had a queen, which wasn’t especially comfortable. Service and location were excellent.

I’m always glad to come back. The location is good, the rooms are nice, and the service is decent.

The hotel’s location was convenient while I was there for COP16. Communication took some effort because the staff spoke very little English, though that was understandable. The restaurant was a bigger problem: basic food and painfully slow service, with meals taking more than 30 minutes. That was tough with my tight COP schedule. Prices had also been raised for COP, which I expected.

Breakfast was the highlight for me, probably the best I’ve had at a hotel. It’s a lovely place in one of Cali’s nicest neighborhoods, close to good restaurants and nightlife. The wooden floors give it a quaint feel.
