Casa Ruta Sur

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Casa Ruta Sur is a quiet, cosy oasis right in central Cali, in lovely San Antonio, and we could explore the whole city on foot. My dad and I spent four days there while visiting Cali and had a brilliant time. Claudia and her team went above and beyond to keep us comfortable, sharing tips and recommendations and always being available. I can’t recommend it enough.

The building is decorated so nicely, and the woman who welcomed us was incredibly sweet. Even with the language barrier, she was attentive and helpful, and she and her crew made us a lovely breakfast in the morning. Our group had a beautiful overnight stay. Incredible experience, I’d recommend it to anyone.

I’ve never slept anywhere this fancy, in Colombia or the USA. The rooms were great, and the bed was so comfy I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow. The staff were so sweet and kind, always helpful, with smiles that lit up the room. There were plants everywhere, loads of sunlight, and so many comfy places to lie down. The vibe is hard to explain, so look at the pictures.

Claudia and Beatriz were lovely, helpful hosts, and I’d absolutely recommend this clean, well-located hostel. The rooms are spacious and have private bathrooms. You can walk to many of Cali’s landmarks, and if you enjoy running, this is a great place to stay. There’s also a good selection of restaurants nearby.
