InterContinental Cali by IHG

The staff were so friendly, the hotel is beautiful, and the food was amazing. Issac was especially attentive to everything we needed during our stay. I recommend staying at International de Cali when visiting Colombia. We’ll definitely be back!

The food at the Intercontinental is fantastic, especially the breakfast buffet. Service was great, and I could not get enough of the scrambled eggs. Be sure to try the picante (spicy) sauce. On my first stay, the shower was the letdown. There was a plumbing problem between the overhead waterfall and handheld shower, so I had to crouch under the handheld one. It didn’t feel like a classy place at that point. Aside from that, the room and service were great. Check your shower when you arrive, and you may want to change rooms if it looks like a cabin in the titanic. Update December 2025: I gave the hotel another try, and now it feels like a toxic relationship. The room was clean, and I appreciated the snacks, but the shower was still acting up. The overhead one mostly worked, while the hand shower kept joining in uninvited. Dinner was fantastic again, but service moved so slowly that waiting for the check felt endless. The gym seemed frozen in the early 2000s, with outdated equipment, no towels or water, and mirrors so dirty I couldn’t even properly judge my poor life choices. An attendant came in, took some photos of the equipment, and left. Maybe they’re sending it to a museum? Several of the lamp plugs in the room didn’t work, and the alarm clock had a dock for the original iPod. It felt like a retro exhibit called “Hotel: 2007.” I should’ve checked the shower before unpacking. I’ll let the front desk know again that the plumbing and fixtures need attention. One more thing: the room AC won’t cool below 22C, so if you like sleeping in the cold, be prepared to sleep naked. The restaurant food, friendly staff, and pretty pool area are real highlights. Still, the shower problems keep coming back, the alarm clock and plugs need fixing, and the gym is a time capsule without towels or water. The hotel has a lot going for it, but it needs to address the recurring plumbing and dated technology.

La Pizzeria was wonderful. We were a group of 15, and both the pizza and service were great. Sara was welcoming and did a fantastic job as our server.

No complaints at all. The hotel and service were excellent, and the staff were great. Our daily waitress, yesica montanio, gave especially superb service. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
