The staff were very pleasant, and for the price, the hotel felt like a steal, especially with the beach and other great places to eat nearby. I’d read comments about hot water and noise before arriving and was hesitant, but I didn’t have those problems. The shower water could be perfectly hot or cold as needed. You can sometimes hear people talking loudly at night, but that’s to be expected in a boutique building that’s a couple of centuries old. There was no outside noise. Breakfast was maybe two-star quality at best.

The staff were very friendly, but the rest was a complete disappointment. We spent New Year’s Night there, a very bad way to start 2026. I honestly don’t understand how this hotel got four stars on Booking.com. We didn’t have a proper toilet, the shower water wasn’t warm at all, and there was no bathroom mirror, safe, or refrigerator. The window was blocked, so there was no daylight, and mold all over the ceilings was really unacceptable. The breakfast seemed to get smaller and poorer each day. What made it worse was that the accommodation wouldn’t respond, either on Booking.com or via WhatsApp.

We booked based on an American Express recommendation, but I think they were misled. The hotel is dirty, the sheets and pillows smell like sweat, and the internet is extremely poor. The rooms are ugly, dark, and dirty, totally different from what they advertise online. Absolutely terrible. I don’t recommend it.

The rooms feel old and overdue for renovation, and some don’t even have windows. The hotel also has a musty smell, along with a few other issues. There are better places nearby, so this one is easy to skip.

It’s clean and pleasant, just not quite what the photos suggest. Honestly, I’m out exploring most of the time, so it doesn’t bother me much.
