Capitel Hostel

The rooms are very small, and the AC doesn't work. Communication was poor: they knew we were traveling with a child, but at check-in they told us children weren't allowed. The bathrooms are shared, too. It was uncomfortable all around.

The shared spaces at Capitel Hostel felt calm, tidy, and useful, whether I wanted to sit down, get some work done, or chat with other travelers. That same sense of care showed up in the rooms: plenty of space, good airflow, clean and orderly, with comfortable beds and well-kept linens. It was quiet at night, which really matters to me after a full day out. The staff were kind and respectful at any hour, and their suggestions for getting around, eating, or seeing the city were genuinely useful. The location also made things easy, with transport, shops, restaurants, and sights close enough that I didn't have to spend extra time or money moving around. I've traveled a lot and make content and use Google Maps often, so I notice when a place does what it promises. Capitel Hostel went beyond that for me. I had a very pleasant stay, and I'd choose it first again when I return. It seems like a dependable, clean option for solo travelers, couples, groups, or families, with good facilities, friendly service, and good value.

We really liked our stay and found the place lovely, friendly, and conveniently located. It's a nice spot to unwind after a trip. The only things missing for us were a mirror in the room and somewhere to hang wet beach clothes, which is why our rating is lower. Apart from that, everything was great.

A good budget option, especially since you can cook here. The location is excellent, just two blocks from the clock tower.
