Our room, 103, was small and had a very limited view for a “superior with views” category room. It was directly below the breakfast area and kitchen, so staff getting breakfast ready woke us at 6 a.m. every morning. The bathroom also flooded whenever we showered because the drain couldn’t handle the water. Casa del Coliseo has a wonderful location in Cartagena’s walled city. Service was excellent, especially the very friendly and helpful reception staff. The turndown service was a nice surprise.

The pool was a lovely place to get away from the crowds and heat. This beautiful hotel is right in the heart of the old town, and we had a wonderful stay. Staff were welcoming and attentive.
