Casa Mulata

We booked through Airbnb and had an amazing stay. The place itself was great, and so were the staff. Definitely recommend it.

Our group of seven friends all fit comfortably in the house, which has lovely decor and a charming feel. Everything was tidy and very clean, and there are two pools, one on the first floor and another on the roof. The location is excellent for walking to tourist spots and tours, with plenty of street food nearby at night. Mrs. Rudys or her partner were always there to let us in and help with anything we needed. They were so kind and did everything they could to make our stay great. For an extra fee, Mrs. Rudys cooked delicious traditional breakfasts for us each day. It felt more like a private hotel than an Airbnb. We’d absolutely stay again when we return to Cartagena, and I fully recommend it.

The hosts are what make this place, taking care of guests day and night. Mrs. Gregoria, Lenys, and Mr. Joel deserve a 10 out of 10 for their service. The house is in a great location in Getsemaní and fits 11 or 12 people across three bedrooms. There’s a roomy, airy living room, kitchen and dining area, bathroom, and one bedroom on the first level, then two bedrooms and a relaxation space with a small balcony on the second. Upstairs on the third level, the jacuzzi is always at a perfect temperature, and there’s also a barbecue grill and a couple of tables with several chairs for hanging out and enjoying the weather. The first-floor pool was a bit chilly. Highly recommended!

Mrs. Gregoria, Leimy, and Joel made the stay special. They treated us with so much affection, like they’d known us forever. The house is beautiful, and tourists stop every day to take photos in front of its lovely mural. From there, it’s easy to enjoy Cartagena, with the Walled City, bars, and restaurants nearby. You can even walk to La Serrezuela or Mall Plaza.
