Hyatt Regency Cartagena

The birthday celebration for my husband made this stay feel especially thoughtful. The team went above and beyond, and everyone was warm from check-in through dinner. We also loved the central location for getting around Cartagena. Our Bay View residence had a lovely view and plenty of room to unwind, and dinner at Kakau Restaurant was excellent. The room and service were top notch throughout. I’d highly recommend it for a special, indulgent stay.

The hotel felt luxurious, with spectacular views and excellent food. What stood out most was how warm, attentive, and professional the staff were throughout our visit. The service felt five-star from beginning to end. Thanks to the whole team for such a lovely experience for my family. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

The pool setup was a real highlight: there’s an adults-only pool, a children’s pool, and a family pool on different floors, all with great views. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, with a good bed and a powerful shower. Breakfast and the room service food were both great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Darwin, the waiter up on the top floor, was amazing and took such good care of us. The hotel has three great pools, and we also enjoyed the room views and excellent air conditioning. The beds were much too firm for me. There was also confusion about Hyatt gift cards. The hotel says it accepts them, but at check-in we were told we had to use the full card balance toward the stay, even though the stay cost less than half of it. That would have left a lot unused, so we didn’t do it, despite what the Hyatt website says. They require payment up front, so keep that in mind if you’re used to paying at checkout.
