Mystic House Hostal

The location is decent, around a 10-20 minute staff walk to either San Felipe Castillo or the old city, but this hostel felt below average. The private rooms are tiny, and after my bedframe completely broke on the last night, I seriously questioned how well things are maintained. Most of the staff were friendly. The night guy spoke little English, but managed to sort out the need at 1am. For the price, I think there must be better options just down the street.

Traveling solo, I found the staff's kindness and constant help a huge comfort. Everyone's friendly and the service is great. The hostel is comfy and affordable, with a fantastic location that makes it easy to get where you want. I absolutely love this place, 5+ stars!!

The location made everything easy, with bars, discos, travel agencies and transport all close by. We arrived a little early, so check-in wasn't possible yet, but Luis welcomed us and let us leave our bags at reception without any trouble while we went for a walk. Leo, Alexandra, Luis and Yan were top of the top, and we can't thank them enough. Thanks again for the cake, shoes and recommendations. Everything was more than perfect. After coming in from the heat and humidity, the room's AC felt like walking through heaven's gates. The bathrooms were nice, beds comfy, rooms clean, and the staff great. Had a fun time here, 10 outta 10, recommend it to a friend.
