The front desk staff were very professional, organized, and helpful, and the room was very clean. But several things missed the mark: no hot water, just two towels for a double room and no washcloths, and only two small bars of soap, with no shampoo or conditioner. The mattresses were EXTREMELY firm, too. That’s personal preference, but I like a softer bed, and these felt like a plank of wood.

The rooms are clean and the service is good. I did notice a couple of things I didn’t like: they don’t provide water, you have to buy bottled water from them, and most rooms look out onto the hallway.

The rooftop pool is stunning, and everyone on staff was so nice and helpful, especially the manager, Maria Del Mar. We stayed for 12 days last month while visiting Cúcuta, in a two-bed room in the original part of the building with the circular windows. It was spacious, had great AC and a nice bathroom, and looked out over the park across the street. We usually had breakfast delivered to the room, and it was great: eggs, arepas, and a delicious chicken sandwich. The Winners bar downstairs was great as well. Try a gin basil smash or a mojito, both were perfect. I can’t speak highly enough about Hotel Mío!

The rooms are clean, but the service is nonexistent and the breakfast is awful. At least the hotel is 15 minutes from the airport.
