We loved having breakfast and anything else we needed brought to the room, and the service was quick and punctual. The views and landscapes were amazing. The jacuzzi with the fire was lovely, and kayaking the next morning was a treat thanks to the location. The breakfast and other food were outstanding. I’m so happy we decided to eat there. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

The views were beautiful, and the couple of dogs who visited us in the common area were very friendly. One even walked into our room. But the road was really rough on the vehicle, and the parking area was cramped. We came with family for one night and arrived early to ask about checking in ahead of time. They said they’d send a WhatsApp message when our room was ready, but we never got one. After eating and sightseeing, we came back well past check-in time. Processing check-in took a while, though they gave us complimentary drinks at the bar. After the long walk to our room, we found the jacuzzi dirty and empty. There weren’t any towels, so staff had to bring some. The kitchen supplies were sparse, with too few plates for six adults and one child, and no cooking utensils for the fire pit. At checkout, we had to wait while they checked the room, then they tried to charge us for an extra item we hadn’t drunk.

The restaurant is my favorite part, easily the best food anywhere in the region. We once wanted to stay here, but it was booked, so we stayed elsewhere and still came back for dinner just for the food. The lake views and location are amazing, and the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. This is hands-down my favorite place to stay in Guatape.

I checked out after just one night, even though I’d really wanted to love this place. The loud party music from boats passing every ten minutes or so didn’t help, and overall it was a deeply disappointing stay. I hope management takes this seriously. There’s a lot to fix before the hotel can be what it should be, and I can’t recommend it or see myself returning. The room felt dated. I’d booked specifically for the view, but mine was surrounded by trees. They offered me another room, which I appreciated, but it was right beside the restaurant and reception, with little privacy. The door didn’t lock properly and left a big gap when closed, which felt like a security risk. There were lots of bugs in the room, so I had to ask for bug spray. The hotel is on a hill, with very steep steps around the property, so you have to be careful. The lighting on the grounds was inadequate after dark, and there were no flashlights in the room to help. The unpaved road could also potentially damage a car if you’re not careful.

The forest setting is beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful feel that’s great for disconnecting. The staff were kind and attentive, which made our stay much nicer. The cabin was generally clean and comfortable, but the hotel needs more maintenance and attention to detail. The wood smelled a little musty, the jacuzzi didn’t look inviting, and there were spider webs in the kitchen. I understand nature comes with staying in the forest, but I’d appreciate more care with cleanliness around food areas. The paths to the cabins are steep and poorly lit, which can feel a little unsafe at night. In the restaurant, there sometimes weren’t enough tables and chairs for all the guests. The menu felt overpriced for what it offered, and there were very few choices for dietary requirements. It’s a place with incredible natural surroundings and very friendly staff, but the maintenance, food service, and infrastructure need more care to match the location’s beauty.
