The food was delicious, and the place was well appointed. I stayed for two nights in February 2018 as an ecotourist, hoping to see the bird life around the lake. I’d have preferred kayaks or canoes to pedal boats, and the neighbors toward the tunnel could do a better job controlling their dogs. Territorial dogs came into my personal space. The worst part was the marsh destruction. Both days, from 7:30 am to 17:30 pm, noisy heavy machinery dug up the reed beds, loaded the vegetation onto large boats, and carried it to shore. During a bike ride, it looked like the neighboring business was using that vegetation as farm fill. It’s ironic that this seems to be government sanctioned and is being done in the name of restoring the lake. I wish it would stop.
