The constant, extremely loud music makes it impossible to relax and enjoy the place. They play it all day and often at night. Terrible. DO NOT stay here if you want a peaceful break.

The river was my favorite part. You can head down for a swim or just hang out there at any time of day, and there’s also a waterfall about a 40 minute walk each way that’s supposed to be a lovely route, though we didn’t get to try it. The workers were all super nice and the food was very good. Our room was clean and fairly spacious. My only small complaint was the very firm bed, almost like a board with just a couple inches of foam. Everything else was wonderful, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The river and pool make this a really pleasant place, and the atmosphere is calm, safe, and family-friendly, so it works well with kids. The staff are friendly and helpful, the bar service is good, and the food is excellent: well seasoned, fresh, hot, and varied. It’s beautiful and affordable too. I’d suggest arriving early for check-in and meals, which makes the stay even better. Definitely somewhere I’d return to.

The pool stays open late, and there’s direct access to the natural pools. The location is great, about 5 minutes from San Rafael Park. Food was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. It cost 170,000 colones per person, including all three meals.
