Hotel Central Plaza Medellin

The only person I found pleasant was the cleaning lady. She worked quickly and seemed to be the only one who cared about her job. Reception wasn't very nice, and the restaurant and food staff were just okay, not especially friendly or welcoming. I booked because it was cheap and listed as four stars, but I was wrong to expect much. The room was the smallest I've ever seen, with no space and no air conditioning. The bed was small and hard as a rock. This is honestly the worst hotel I've stayed in, and I'm usually generous. I wouldn't give it four stars, or even more than one. I don't know who's giving it those ratings, but it feels like a scam. If all you need is somewhere to sleep, you could book it, but even then the bed is awful.

I paid $24 for the room and would've felt ripped off even at $5. The walls were extremely dirty and stinky, and the room was tiny. Add the terrible, unprofessional front desk service, and I wouldn't go back. Disgusting place, best avoided. Book somewhere else and save yourself the headache. One star is already too much.

The bathroom had cockroaches, and noise went on all night. My room wasn't fully clean when I arrived, and they charged an abusive amount because it was vacation season. The service was awful, too. When I went to the desk for help, a solution, or my money back, they basically didn't care. Don't stay here.

My flight was cancelled, so I needed a reasonably priced, clean room for one night with an easy check-in. I wasn't expecting much. Instead, the room was tiny and gross, with no windows, a dirty fan, stained walls, and a cheap bed as hard as a rock. Check-in was a mess. My Spanish is limited, but usually I can hand over my passport and credit card and say “reserva” without trouble. Here it took more than 20 minutes with Google Translate to explain that I had a reservation. Apparently Expedia bookings go into some mystery computer system. Expedia should make sure advertised hotels can process its reservations. I've read reviews from people who seem high maintenance, but that's not me. I travel extensively around the world. This place is horrible. Stay away from this dump.
