The rooms were nice and the staff were very kind. The pool was clean, with plants providing shade over about half of it.

We chose this hotel for our family because of the online photos, but the place was run down and looked nothing like them. The AC quit in the middle of the night, and we had to ask several times for clean towels and pillows. I can't recommend it.

The bed was comfortable, with satin sheets, and the air conditioning was good. Still, Amazonas Real is one of many budget hotels in Leticia, and quite a few things disappointed me. The room looked like the pictures, but there were no drawers or shelves, not even in the bathroom. There was no hot water or electric shower, and cold morning showers in the tropical jungle are dreadful to me. Internet was poor, disconnecting constantly, with slow downloads. Breakfast was low quality apart from the eggs, though the manager kindly brought papaya and bananas after I complained. The hotel sits on the main business street, with scooters crossing in every direction. I didn't try the pool; it looked more like a stale pond.

The shower had great water pressure and everything was very clean. It cost more than the places we usually choose, but after we hesitated they offered us a deal on an air-conditioned room, which worked out great.
