The room was clean and spacious, with a tasteful design. We especially liked the generous shower, and breakfast was delicious. We didn’t manage to eat at the Michelin-starred restaurant because our daytime plans conflicted with its available times, which was a shame. After travelling through Bogotá and Armenia, this was our first true 5-star experience in Colombia. The hotel is in a pleasant neighbourhood, and the team spoke English. Everyone was polite, gracious, smiling, and welcoming. We couldn’t fault anyone on staff. I don’t remember all the names, so it doesn’t feel fair to single out too many, but I recall David from F&B, Juliana at breakfast, Juan at Reception, and, if I remember right, Harold, the butler who escorted us to the lobby on arrival. Every interaction felt professional and genuinely well-intended. We had a very positive stay and would gladly return. Thank you for the lovely time.

The rooftop pool, hot tub, and spa are worth spending time at, especially for the spectacular view. We stayed a few days at this beautifully designed boutique luxury hotel, with an open-sky atrium and living wall. It has three restaurants, which surprised us for a boutique hotel of this size. Our room had a bathtub by the window, a fun idea that didn’t work very well for us. A table and chairs or a small sofa might have suited us better, and a door for the shower and bathroom area would have helped. The room rate includes the stocked mini fridge and snacks, replenished daily, which was a nice touch. The TV had plenty of English-speaking channels, and the streaming services were easy to use. It’s in the very tourist-friendly El Poblado area, a great base for first-time and returning visitors. Strongly recommended.

The people working here are genuine and helpful, and the GM is the best guy. They made my whole hotel stay feel smooth and like a 5 star home 🏡. Absolutely worth giving this place a shot. Shout out to all the hard workers, and all my love to the GREATEST GM OF ALL TIME.

One of the best travel experiences I've had. I'd easily recommend Elcielo to anyone visiting Medellín, and make use of all the amenities there.

The staff who helped us with our daughter, especially the bellmen and housekeeping team, were kind and attentive. Their effort meant a lot. The room was also clean and beautifully designed, and the hotel itself has style and potential. But this was a difficult stay for our family, and I wouldn't choose it if I wanted a chance to relax. We booked after loving El Cielo Restaurant in Miami and decided to try the hotel instead of our usual Marriott stays. We hadn't been told about the renovations. Drilling started around 7 a.m. and went on until 5 p.m., sometimes making the room vibrate. Then loud restaurant music continued until about 11 p.m., with bass that felt like it was coming from inside our room, even though the hotel is on a quiet street. When we spoke to the front desk and concierge, Viviana at the concierge desk said we could leave, even with our 22-month-old child. That felt dismissive and didn't help us sort anything out. The service was rigid. Room service had very few choices and wouldn't allow changes or substitutions. Breakfast was included, but came with only four set options and no flexibility. That made it especially hard to manage a toddler's needs. There were no children's menu items or changing tables in the public restrooms, staff wouldn't adapt dishes, and the common areas were quite small. The hotel didn't seem child-friendly.
