Forever W&L Building

The apartment looked exactly like the photos and was clean when we arrived, but that did little to help when we couldn't sleep or relax. We chose it with my mother and her friend, both in their 60s, specifically to avoid the Provenza party scene. The building seemed to attract party groups anyway. There was loud construction right outside, starting early each morning, and nobody warned us, even though we'd said we wanted somewhere peaceful. On the first night, parties in nearby apartments kept us awake until 6 a.m., with booming music, shouting, and loud sex. After we complained, the hosts gave us a number to call if it happened again. The last night, another party started. Security eventually stopped it after we called, but we were already awake and couldn't get back to sleep. It felt like this was normal for the building. Check-out was unpleasant too. At 10:58 a.m., two minutes before the official time, the cleaning staff were already pushing us to leave. And after I sent a detailed two-minute voice message and videos of the noise, the only reply was a generic “thank you for your suggestions.” No apology, real solution, or offer of compensation. It felt like the hosts cared only about keeping the place booked. I wouldn't choose this for a quiet trip or a family stay, especially with older guests. Save yourself the stress.
