Hostal Casa Primavera - Hostel

We woke up to a cockroach crawling across the ceiling, and it ran into my bag when I tried to get it out. We'd already seen more than 20 roaches crawling around the bunk bed rafters. After we reported the infestation, the owners seemed not to care. They moved us to a different room, which didn't have the same roach problem, but told us to use folded paper to keep the door shut instead of giving us a key. When we asked for the key again, they repeated the paper suggestion and refused to give us a piece of paper. About 20 minutes later they finally handed over the key, leaving us wondering why they'd argued about it. They seemed to be using chemicals on our bed, too. We're leaving a night early, but they won't refund that night. A hostel should be kept clean and in good repair, and the owners were awful to us when we raised the problem. We won't stay here again. Sort out the bug infestation. Do not go here.

It's a really cheap hostel, though the rooms are dark, windowless, and clammy from the shower. There is a very nice supermarket, kind of like a bar, inside the hostel where you can get inexpensive beers with the locals.

The hostel felt cramped, hot, and humid, with barely any room to move. The staff weren't very friendly, and every bed was noisy enough that you could hear people whenever they shifted.

Really clean and a good place for the price!
