Hotel 12 Nights

We were left waiting for over six hours while trying to get this sorted out, with the Medellín police and tourism officers also trying to help. Neither Liliana Perea, the "manager," nor the owner, Antony, came to the hotel, and the staff refused to accommodate us. Agoda is still waiting for 12 Nights Hotel to confirm free cancellation before refunding our money. A diabetic person with us wasn't given water during that time. Cold water only arrived immediately when the tourism police showed up. They also tried to charge us again for a tax we'd already paid. The whole thing was terrible service and mistreatment, and felt completely unethical.

The staff were attentive and very friendly, and there was a minibar area with a few essentials, including drinks. But our room was extremely small, with nowhere to put our suitcases, and it felt hot and stuffy, like a room on the coast. The bathroom flooded. I booked another room through Booking.com.

We'd made the reservation in February, but in July, just five days before we were due to arrive, it was canceled. When we tried to book again, they wanted three times the original price. Our stay was awful too. One room wasn't ready when we arrived, and the others were dirty, with dusty floors, trash, no towels, and sheets that smelled bad. The fan didn't work, and hot water came only now and then. We were there for two nights and none of the rooms were cleaned. When we asked, they said there was no cleaning service that day. They say cleaning is only in the morning, but rooms should be delivered clean, and there should be more frequent service. The value for money was terrible. This place doesn't meet basic requirements for cleanliness or essential services.

The location is central but quiet, and everything was very clean. The staff were attentive. I recommend it.
