Hotel California Exito

If you want to be harassed and discriminated against, stay at Recinto. I’ve been a business traveler for over 20 years, and this was the rudest, most unprofessional, unfriendly staff I’ve ever dealt with. I booked through AirBnB, and they require you to enter your details in an app. If you don’t know all the details for a tentative traveler in your party, the app and Recinto68 support are useless. They kept asking for my ID in a way that felt worse than being harassed by ICE in Chicago. They say it’s in the house instructions and that they can ask as many times as they want for “safety.” They don’t care if they bother you at 10pm. See attached pictures. I could go on about why not to stay at Recinto68, including dirty bed sheets and a badly located, noisy building. But the worst part was the discriminatory treatment and harassment, which seem to be Recinto68’s signature.

All good. They checked my ID the first time they saw me coming in, but asked politely. My room has AC 🤩🤩

We found bed bugs under the mattress before sleeping in the bed, along with molted skins, so we didn’t bring them. They still insisted we might have brought the bugs. We were moved to other rooms, a double even though we’d booked a triple, and that was all. There was no compensation or refund. I had to ask them to wash our clothes, which they did. When we checked out, we saw they’d already put new people in the infested room without exterminating it. Two stars because the place is nice and the location is good.

The area feels really secure, and the place is so nice. It’s far enough from la 70 to avoid the noise, but still close enough to walk to the shops and bars.
