Hotel Verony La 70 - Laureles Estadio

Avoid this place. The lobby looks nice, but the rooms were awful. The sheets were dirty and torn, the walls and windows were dirty, and there was a big hole in the wall with plumbing exposed. The bed felt like a board. I paid for two nights and left immediately, but they refused to refund me. There are plenty of better options.

This is my second stay and I’ll be back in June. The room was good, lunch is great value, and the restaurant service is quick. Staff are friendly and always help, even though my Spanish isn’t very good. It can get a bit noisy at night.

The rooms were quite clean for the price, and the weekend staff were very professional. On weekdays, the staff seemed more interested in Facebook than helping guests, and the room phones were left unattended. The weekday service was unprofessional and they couldn’t be bothered doing much.

I’ve traveled a lot, and this was easily the worst hotel in Colombia. The room had a broken door lock, a pipe sticking out of the wall for a shower with no nozzle, lights that didn’t work, dirty floors and spotty wifi. Breakfast was bland with no choices, and the staff were inattentive and almost rude. I can’t see how it has four stars on Google Maps. Avoid it.
