Moet Medellin Hotel

Don't stay here. It was a dirty, dangerous dump and nothing like the pictures. Not worth the money.

We spent six hours in the lobby, but they wouldn't let us into the room before 3pm. I watched the previous guest check out at 1pm, then saw how badly the staff cleaned. There was hair and other stuff in the shower, and it wasn't clean. The shower also flooded and drained poorly. I stayed one night and wouldn't come back. The noise was beyond acceptable, with loud music until 2am and thin walls that let you hear everything.

Daisy and the rest of the staff gave us superb, professional attention, and my children and family enjoyed the service and facilities. I was hoping for more breakfast choices for hungry people after a night out or a trip outside the city. The stay met my expectations for a hidden gem in the middle of Medellin's party and clubbing scene. If you want an inexpensive but chic place in one of the city's best known neighborhoods, Moet is worth considering. Maybe we'll stay at the Moet Cartagena next year.

The staff were nice, though I suspect they're used to hearing complaints about the noise. We changed rooms three times during our stay, and every one was noisy. One was especially bad, with every lyric audible until 3am. The hotel sits right on the strip. None of the rooms had windows, which felt depressing, and they all smelled like swimming pools, possibly because of bathroom ventilation problems.
