The location is hard to beat, with almost everything within walking distance in a lively neighborhood. Check-in was warm, friendly, and helpful, and the kitchen staff were the highlight of our stay. They made incredible breakfasts and were some of the sweetest people we met. The receptionist was also apologetic when the lounge broke, and it wasn’t his fault, but he said there wasn’t much he could do and would call the manager. No one followed up, so I spent the last night on the tilted, broken lounge. We were three adults and had booked for three. At check-in I was told the couch folded out, but it hadn’t been made up. The receptionist brought one blanket, a bottom sheet, and a pillow, and that was all we had for our four nights. The leather was very hard, there was a hard bar through the middle, and it was small even for me at 175cm. I asked for extra blankets to pad it on the second night and used my own sleeping bag. When I checked out, I asked the day receptionist whether the room’s condition had been handed over. She called the manager, who offered me $30 AUD / 60,000 Peso in cash if I cancelled through booking.com on our end. When I asked why, since the room cost 200,000 peso a night, she said that was for the whole room and they were only compensating me for the bed. That felt like very poor service given the sleeping arrangements throughout our stay. There was no housekeeping at all. We normally wouldn’t mind, but the hotel rules say not to flush toilet paper, and over a four-night stay it would have been good to have the bins emptied at least. There are many hostels and hotels on the same street, and with how the bed situation was handled, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The breakfast was delicious, and the women who made it were so sweet and happy to accommodate every wish. The staff were amazing and helped guests with everything. Juan and Sebastian at reception were especially great. Really good value for money, and I’d clearly recommend this hostel. Big thanks!

In my opinion, this guest house is in the best part of Poblado. The rooms are small but quite modern, with a nice balcony, and I had no complaints about the shared area. It was a bit noisy in the evening, and there’s no AC in the room. They offered airport pickup, but that was frustrating. I waited about 25mins at the airport, and communicating with the taxi driver was confusing, even though we speak Spanish well. The guy at reception also wasn’t very welcoming.

Breakfast was delicious and really generous, with tea, coffee, juice, fruit, toast, and a choice of eggs or cereal. The woman making it was very friendly. Poblado Guesthouse is in a quieter part of Poblado, but there are lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Staff were lovely and helped us plan our days. Our room was small but comfortable, and the well-equipped kitchen was very clean to cook in. We found it a perfect stay and would highly recommend it :)

We really liked relaxing in the fresh air in the hammocks on our room’s shared Terrance. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the shared kitchen was spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was included and nice, and the woman who cooked it was lovely. As a couple, we found Poblado guest house cheaper than most hostels nearby, and it was one of our favorite stops on our travels. There isn’t much of a social atmosphere, but the popular party hostels are only a block away. It’s nice and quiet at night.
