The Morgana Poblado Suites Hotel

The view is amazing, and the room was spacious. The location was great, and the staff were courteous. The bathroom had a leak that needs fixing, and the breakfast needs improvement.

We found the hilltop setting peaceful, and it was easy to relax there. But since we wanted to explore the city, the amount of driving needed became a drawback. The hotel has plenty of equipment, though it feels worn: loose towel rails, moldy air conditioning, and windows that leak. Breakfast was pretty basic for this price range, with eggs, rice, cold cuts, cheese, and fruit. Service also took some getting used to. Maybe we caught the staff on a bad day, but the level of service should be reconsidered.

Stains everywhere, sticky floors, and bad smells in the room. The place felt run-down and dirty, and the cleaning needs to improve. It clearly needs an urgent renovation. At $60 a night, it definitely isn't worth it, especially when Medellin has nicer places at the same or lower price.

The location is residential, right off a highway, so there's nowhere you can walk to. Breakfast was just OK, nothing special, and the bare minimum in the room was one bar of soap and one towel per person. I was also left waiting at reception for close to half an hour after asking for a taxi, while the receptionist kept helping people checking in. No one at reception spoke even basic English, which seemed unusual for a hotel. The bathroom was poorly maintained: the shower and sink faucets were coming off, the trash can was completely rusty, and the toilet is so close to the shower that everything gets wet. I’d heard this was a new hotel and saw it listed as four stars, but it was nowhere near that standard. Pretty disappointing. I wouldn't go back.
