We left without staying after they said they couldn't find our Booking.com reservation. They discussed among themselves which rooms might be available and mentioned that rooms left by departing guests hadn't been cleaned. They offered us one on the first floor, but quoted twice the amount in our original booking. We showed them the app reservation and the details provided when we booked. They insisted the price was per person, even though we'd said from the start that there were two of us. By then it was night, and we had nowhere else to go because we'd thought our reservation was secured. A terrible experience.

We got there at 9:00 AM and reserved a room that wasn't cheap, but nobody told us they wouldn't actually have it ready for us. We spent until 1:00 PM wandering around Melgar, then returned at 1:30 PM to get the room. The receptionist said there was no one available to clean it and refunded our money. It's unacceptable to waste people's time like this. There was zero empathy and no solution. Most likely, she offered the room to someone else at a higher price. If you want to avoid a bad experience, don't go.

We'd booked several days ahead and arrived at 8 am, but they didn't give us our room until 7 pm. They seem short-staffed, and the water was shut off in the afternoon. Honestly, a very bad experience and a lack of professionalism.

The hostess was so warm, and I want to give special mention to the service and how clean both the rooms and pool were. I'll definitely be back.
