The glamping hut was good value, and there are lots of beautiful spots to relax. You can cool off in the pool or river, and the village is an easy walk with plenty of places to eat. A few things made it hard for us to enjoy the nature setting. It was too noisy for that. The hut beds are not for tall people over 1.8m. I’m 1.8m and only just fit after shifting the bed, so if you’re taller, check before booking. At 6:30 in the morning they start sweeping right beside the huts, close enough to wake you. One morning a truck parked next to ours to extract the 💩. It was extremely loud and lasted about 45 minutes. We’d been awake since 6:30, but breakfast didn’t start until 8. The WiFi was unreliable and sometimes didn’t work at all. A few easy improvements would help too: proper locks on every shower door, soap dispensers that work in all toilets and showers, and cleaning under the beds.

We liked the riverside setting, the breakfast was nice, and the staff were pleasant. But the evening activities that were advertised, a bonfire with marshmallows and a film in the cinema, never happened. We waited patiently for ages and had to ask what was going on. The spa was also closed during our stay, so we couldn’t book anything. Worst of all was the sewage and drain stench. It was so disgusting that it kept us all awake, and we left feeling worse than when we arrived.

The food was really good, and the natural surroundings made it easy to connect with nature. Being beside the river felt like an out-of-body experience. The staff were extra caring. It was amazing, 100% recommend.

The outdoor spaces here are incredible. There are so many places to wander around and relax, and I really loved spending time out there. It was also an easy walk into the town centre. My room had lots of space, a comfortable bed, and air conditioning that worked well.
