The hostel looks nice and has a great view, and I’d heard it was named South America’s best hostel some time ago. Lots of people stop there for a drink while hiking. But apparently their approach has changed, and you can’t just pop in for one anymore. There’s a COP$60,000 admission fee that includes lunch and a drink. That seems unreasonable, which is a shame.

The view is nice, but the music was so loud it was hard to enjoy. They charge 60k COP to get in, and all you get is a very basic lunch and one of the cheapest drinks on the menu, no cocktail, juice, or Coke. Then they charged us extra as we were leaving. It felt like a tourist trap. Don’t bother, there are cheaper, cozier places.

The location is incredible, and the view is ridiculously good. The nets make it ten times better. There’s a heated pool open 24 hours, and some rooms have jacuzzis.

We stopped during a hike and were asked to pay 20,000 COP just to sit down and order a drink. Don’t waste your time. There’s a nice cafe down the road with a better view, and it doesn’t charge you just for sitting.

The view was amazing, and the location has lots of amenities. The staff seemed disorganized, especially in the restaurant, and the cabin was very basic. It was also really loud because of the Colombian holiday.
