The Chill Out Hostel

Right in the town centre, and there were birds everywhere, including colibris and even tucans :) We loved staying at Rosario’s place. She was a wonderful host.

Google has the address wrong, so you’ll need to pass the restaurants and stores, then take the dirt road up the hill. We had a great stay with Casa chill out, and the owner was very sweet and friendly.

The owner, an elderly lady, was very kind and helpful, and once the water issue was sorted out we really enjoyed our stay. The location was good and the rooms were quite comfortable. Our upstairs room was too dark for our liking, and there was no water in the shower or either sink, in the bathroom or kitchenette. That was frustrating since we wanted to cook and shower. We were able to use the shower in the room next door. After the first night we moved downstairs, where we had another water problem, but it eventually got resolved.

We really enjoyed Minca and staying here. The room was great, if a little dark, and had a kitchenette. The deck was spacious, with pleasant views. It’s up a hill and away from the central area, but only a few minutes’ walk depending on where you’re headed. Rosario and her daughter are lovely, and Rosario has quite a character.
