San Marcelino de las Rosas

The double room was basic, with air conditioning but no TV. The mattress and pillows were very worn, and I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep. Apart from that, the hotel was beautiful and peaceful, with lovely spots to relax in nature. The service and food were excellent, as was the boat transportation from the port.

The food came promptly, was expertly prepared, and tasted delicious. The rooms were comfortable and had what was needed for rest and personal hygiene. This peaceful, charming family hotel is surrounded by well-maintained nature, and the personalized attention meant staff made sure guests’ needs were met. What’s offered matches the description on the premises. The biosafety measures were clear and effective, with social distancing and disinfection stations throughout. A great pick for relaxing and having fun as a family.

We were three people visiting outside the season, and the only guests there. The surroundings were stunning, and the simple facilities were still good. Everything was clean and in good shape, and the service was excellent. The food was super tasty, and the price was very reasonable, including three meals and a 20-minute boat transfer each way. We’d happily recommend it. It was wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and ready to help, and the hotel is a lovely place surrounded by nature, ideal for a good rest. The food was generally good, though more choices would help, for example, for people who can’t drink milk. My room had no TV, and it could use more maintenance and hot water. Claro service isn’t available at the hotel, only Movistar and Tigo, and the Wi-Fi signal in the rooms is very weak. The value for money didn’t feel very good. During our stay, heavy rain caused a power outage that lasted more than four hours overnight and into the early morning. It was hard for me to sleep because my sleep aid didn’t work without electricity.
