The lake and all the trees around the cabins made the place feel cool and fresh. I loved how quiet it was, well away from the bustle of Puerto Nariño. My partner and I had a wonderful stay, with comfortable cabins and really welcoming hosts.

I loved the beauty and peace of the hotel, and can see it working well for couples or anyone wanting quiet. For me, traveling alone, it felt isolated and lonely with only two rooms. The host seemed visibly uninterested in talking with me, which made me a little uncomfortable. The path is very steep and the concrete gets slippery. I fell nearly every time, and I'm not usually clumsy.

The host was so helpful with arranging tours and activities during our stay. It was a lovely, peaceful place, and breakfast was great, with local açai fruit. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a great time seeing monkeys, sloths, dolphins, fish, and birds. The place is peaceful and comfortable, surrounded by all kinds of trees. Cesar patiently told us about the history of several trees and of the place itself. It's secluded, cool, and refreshing, with what you need for a comfortable adventure and a real break from the city's bustle.

César has lovingly made and cared for a gorgeous garden, with a lake and a little platform where you can watch monkeys from the comfortable common area. The cabins are beautifully designed and have everything you need. Breakfast is basic, just coffee and biscuits, though César is happy to pick some of the many exotic fruits on the property. The lodge is just outside the center of Puerto Nariño, giving you a special experience close to nature. The last part of the walk gets dark in the evening, so bring at least a flashlight. In the rain, that stretch of path can be quite run-down and challenging, but it's manageable with backpacks. For information on excursions nearby, go to the small tourist information office in town near the soccer field, by the concrete animal sculptures. We took several tours with guide Alex Molina and highly recommend him.
