Hotel Campestre La Capilla

We couldn't sleep because of an outdoor quinceañera that went on until 2:00 AM. The manager had rented out the open dining area and never told the guests staying there. She should have warned us so we could decide whether to stay. It felt like she wanted a few extra pesos without respecting that we'd paid for our stay. The room issues were bad too: the mattresses smelled moldy, and I had a sore throat and headache and couldn't sleep the first night. When I asked to move, we got a room with air conditioning, but it leaked water inside and still smelled moldy.

The pool was already dirty when we arrived and got worse each day, cloudy, greasy, and filthy. Staff said the pool attendant wouldn't come on weekends, even after we raised the problem. It was also being rented to people from outside while guests were staying in the cabins. I developed a rash on my arms from the water. The rooms had too many insects, old fans, some unusable, and terrible mattresses. In the room my husband and I shared, grime fell from the ceiling onto the bed. Breakfast was very meager for the price. The food came in broken cups, with only half a cup of hot chocolate, a tiny amount of fruit, one slice of bread, and a mini arepa. The woman cooking was always in a bad mood and rude to guests. We paid too much and couldn't get a refund, even though we were disappointed from the first day. I won't return to the country hotel La Capilla in Restrepo, Meta. It was expensive and awful, and I don't recommend it.

The beds were rock hard, and breakfast was very basic. The place could use more attention: our fridge was dirty and smelled, the towels were torn, and we had to ask for toilet paper.

There was no peace or rest during our stay. Workers kept mowing and sweeping while we were at the pool, leaving a strong gasoline smell, throwing mower rocks into the water, and sending dirt flying when they swept. They should avoid renting rooms to guests on cleaning days. The pool was filthy and wasn't treated until the second day. The rooms were tiny and very uncomfortable, with damp walls and an old fan. The beds were extremely hard, the slats were coming off, and there was barely room to move. Given how uncomfortable everything was, it was far too expensive.
