Hostal Ciudad De Segorbe - Hostel

The dorm faces the street, so there was some noise, and it wasn't a very social hostel. Most backpackers seemed to go to the coffee tree. I stayed there for a night, and this place was better and cheaper. They clean the dorms every day, even making my bed when I'd left it a complete mess. I came back to folded pajamas, fresh bedding, and a new towel. That's incredible service for the price. The man at the front desk was super nice and helpful. The hostel's included breakfast was good, though not the best I've had in Colombia. After 11 months of travel, I'm getting a bit sick of eggs and toast, but I can't complain since it's included. I booked another night directly with the hostel and got a discount, so book direct if you can.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was nice. A lovely hostal in a great location, with spacious, clean rooms.

Paola made our stay with her warmth and amazing energy. She made us feel welcome and helped with everything we needed, from tours and rubber boots for hiking to nearby places to eat. The rest of the staff were brilliant too, including Isabel, who took me on a great coffee tour of her family's coffee plantation. The hostel felt like a home away from home while we were in Salento. My boyfriend spent four days hiking Tolima while I stayed in Salento because of a knee injury, and I couldn't have picked a better place. It's beautiful and quiet, with a lovely garden, and the location is excellent, close to the main town square but tucked away from some of the busiest, noisiest tourist streets. The rooms are spacious, everything is clean, the beds gave us a good night's sleep, and the showers are warm. Breakfast was really nice too, a short walk down the road at a place where you get fresh juice, eggs, fruit, and coffee. I'd easily come back and stay even longer.

The patios were lovely places to sit, and the room was beautiful. I also saw the dorms, which were the nicest I’ve ever seen. The beds were really comfortable, and we had the best shower of our whole time in Colombia. It’s an easy walk to the plaza (Parque), but still quiet at night.
