At Posada del Cucu, Don Fabián and his family give excellent service, and the natural breakfasts are lovely. It's a magical place to reconnect with your roots and nature. A trail nearby winds through the beautiful mountains of Salento, where you can see breathtaking views that look like paintings, along with exotic animals and tarantulas. Lots of tourists hike it every day, so it feels very safe. Magnificent. On the trail toward Salento, Mirador Las Manos de Dios (Hands of God viewpoint) has a stunning view and is a great spot for birdwatching.

The family are super friendly, and the breakfasts are fantastic, especially the corn arepa. This peaceful rural eco-hotel is surrounded by nature, and the number of birds you can spot is surprising. There's a coffee farm about a 15-minute walk away that offers a full tour of coffee production. ☕ I'd definitely come back.

Avoid this place at all costs!!! The online photos look at least 20 years old and don't match reality. We arrived to find a completely dilapidated property, including a neglected, damp shack with a tarp roof!! Because we left, they gave us only 25% of our booking. Beware!!
