The stay was so uncomfortable that we had to find somewhere else. All the drains were clogged when we arrived, and the air conditioning didn’t work. We reported the problem, but they couldn’t get the replacement part. They should have checked everything before guests arrived.

She met us at the airport and brought us to the accommodation, and she was consistently kind and helpful. She answered our questions about where to buy things and which tours to take, and even got us a pot and trash bags when we needed them. There’s a supermarket nearby, where we bought food and water, though prices are what you’d expect on the island. Your experience may depend on how you travel. If you plan to cook and need water for seven days, bring your own water tank, as locals do. The nearby shop wouldn’t lend or rent one, and the accommodation didn’t have one to lend, so we bought bottled water. Water is also sold in bags. The kitchen could use more supplies: there was only one cleaning cloth, and we would have liked a pot, coffee maker, dish towels, mortar and pestle, and a long spoon for stirring without burning yourself. The cookware isn’t non-stick, and the stove only works on its highest setting. The beds and pillows need attention too, since the mattresses sag and the pillows are very thin. In the bathroom there’s bath soap, but no hand towels or hand soap. The front door lock needs a tap before it will close. The accommodation was being remodeled, so I was surprised that it didn’t look like the photos. The owner, Andrea, apologized. The TV in the living room/bedroom was being repaired, and although we were told it would be back during our stay, it never arrived in the seven days we were there. Water to our bathroom and kitchen was cut off for about two days in a row. There was still tap water in the patio from the next apartment. The patio laundry area has no drain, just a tank you have to empty when it fills up.

We arrived at night to check in, but they refused our reservation. The woman was incredibly rude, and we had to find another inn at that hour and pay for it ourselves. It was a really unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The apartment had everything we needed, and the main beach was about 10 minutes away. Great place to stay, I recommend it 👍
