The owner was the worst, and the service was really bad. I’d never recommend this place to anyone.

Cozy and nice

THE LOCATION IS THE ONLY GOOD THING. We stayed for 15 days, and the owner, Vivi, was very rude. She moved our things to another room without asking, and one of my baby’s toys disappeared. We later learned that the weekend cleaning lady had stolen it. They don’t replace the sheets or towels, even though this is a beach resort and everything gets covered in sand. There’s no hot water, and that wasn’t disclosed when we booked. A terrible place to stay with children.

The room upgrade we got for free was a nice surprise. The new room had a window, and every room has inverter air conditioning, though you’ll mostly use it for cooling, plus a fridge and room service as advertised. Sara's Place is about a seven-minute walk from the airport and five minutes from one of the beaches. There are also nearby restaurants and supermarkets, so it’s good value. They offer packages for boat trips, city tours, and diving. The diving package was a particularly good deal, with an instructor and transport included. The downsides: WiFi is quite weak in the first-floor rooms, and though it’s better by the Sara's Place entrance, the internet quality is poor. The shower has no hot water, the flow is weak, and the water seems a little salty. There’s nowhere to hang wet beach clothes, and the island doesn’t have laundry services. There are cats at Sara's Place, though they don’t go into the room area, so anyone with a cat allergy should keep that in mind. Being so close to the airport also means you can see planes taking off from the room window, which could bother people who dislike noise or are traveling for work.
