The pool was clean and really nice, and our sea view room had an amazing outlook. The rooms themselves were spacious and pleasant, but that didn't make up for the rest of the stay. The music was so loud from the day we arrived that we couldn't hear each other talking. We asked them to turn it down because we couldn't work, take calls, or even speak with our families, but this happened every day. We kept wondering if we'd booked a party place or a hotel. If you're coming to relax or work, forget it. We also saw mouse droppings around the room and in reception, which left me worried about having an extra roommate. On our last morning we asked for the coffee included with breakfast, but they'd run out. That can happen, but one arrogant guy told us to go buy it ourselves because they still had hot water. We were shocked and complained to the manager. He eventually apologized, but we still got no coffee. For context, my partner and I both speak Spanish fluently. Getting to the beach and restaurants takes about a 15 minute walk down a very bad rocky path where you could easily break an ankle. Also, none of the four nights we stayed did we have hot or even warm shower water.

I loved the peaceful setting away from the bustle, and the hotel is beautiful. It was a private villa converted into a hotel seven years ago, and it still has a special character. For the price, I think it's the best and most beautiful place to stay in Taganga. The rough streets on the way in didn't bother me since I was happy to walk, and the beach is only a 15 minute walk away. Some parts of the room were disappointing. The furniture was cheap and a bit broken, and rain leaked through the walls and dripped inside. The TV was very pixelated and didn't work well because of bad internet, and the connection was unreliable. As a digital nomad who needed to work remotely, that was tough. Given how rural and remote the location is, I can understand these issues as part of the setting. Room cleaning also didn't happen unless I asked. In one week they cleaned only once, and I had to ask four times. Even with these drawbacks, the quiet atmosphere and lovely property made the stay worth it. It's a good fit if you want a rustic, luxurious escape in Taganga, but not if you need reliable tech or a good place to work.

Customer service was 0/10. I was told by the person at reception that using the kitchen was fine, but when I later heated food in the oven, the concierge angrily confronted me in Spanish. He was passive aggressive, disrespectful, didn't look at me or listen, and ignored me three times while I tried to explain that another worker had given permission. He kept saying bad words in Spanish, as if I wouldn't understand. He never apologized. I contacted the other worker, who promised the manager would come by the next day to sort it out, but nobody showed up. The next day the concierge acted as though nothing had happened. There were other problems too: cockroaches came out of the shower, the shower was cold and had a broken head, there was a lot of mold next to the bed, and the balcony door wouldn't lock, so anyone could get in. The location is far outside the city center, and the nearest beach is a 15 minute walk along dirt roads full of garbage. When I arrived, the place looked quite nice. The large open lounge had couches, but they didn't turn on the AC, and with all the glass windows it was too hot to enjoy. There was also a big open kitchen that looked available for guests, which is why I asked about cooking.

I've never had a hotel room this clean before, for sure.

It was peaceful here, and the beach is just a 15 minute walk along a stone path. The service and cleanliness were excellent, and they keep the lovely pool maintained every day. Breakfast was delicious, though it would be nice to have tea or herbal infusions too. The shower water pressure wasn't good.
