Altos de Paja Hotel feels like a peaceful escape into nature, set on a mountainside outside Villeta, Cundinamarca. We were surrounded by quiet and natural beauty from the moment we arrived, far from the noise of city life. It's a real hidden gem for anyone looking to relax. The individual cabins are cozy, comfortable, and private, with a rustic feel alongside modern conveniences. They're impeccably maintained, and cleanliness is clearly a priority throughout. You can see the hotel's eco-friendly approach around the property. What made the stay especially memorable was the hospitality. Gina, the administrator, was warm and efficient, Chef Santiago made exquisite meals showcasing local flavors, and Angie was always attentive and eager to help with a friendly smile. Their efforts made us feel very well cared for. Altos is pet-friendly, and there's also an orphaned teenage cat living at the hotel. I'm a dog lover, but this affectionate, almost dog-like cat completely won me over. If we hadn't been leaving Colombia in just a few days, I would have adopted him in a heartbeat. I left with a heavy heart, wishing this wonderful creature could have joined our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Altos de Paja Hotel and look forward to returning. It offers a lovely mix of nature, hospitality, and heartfelt connections, and is a great choice if you're looking for an eco-friendly place that welcomes people and pets.

The customer care is exceptional, and the stay really does make you feel like royalty. Prices are on the high side for a hotel that's just starting out, but it was totally worth it.
