We spotted plenty of animals while having breakfast on the terrace, and the food was tasty too. The hotel is a short walk from restaurants, town, and the national park. Our room was small but simple, and the pool was small and very clean. Such a beautiful spot, and I loved the ocean view.

After a long trip through Costa Rica, from Monteverde via San Jose to Cahuita, this cosy little place had everything we needed. The staff were wonderful, and the location was perfect.

The beds weren’t comfortable, but the in-room A/C was fantastic, especially since many places nearby don’t have it. These are small, budget cabins with a very tiny pool for cooling off. The only onsite restaurant service is the complimentary breakfast, served overlooking the rocky shore, with local boats accessible from the restaurant. There’s WiFi too. An economy stay with a few perks.
