The location makes it easy to reach the national park and restaurants. For a hostel or hotel at this price, it’s a fair deal. The rooms are a little old, and the showers don’t have hot water. The kitchen is fine and has plenty of equipment. Coffee is available all day, and you can refill your water.

The room felt dirty, and the bathroom was grimy. There were cockroaches everywhere, and the place was in poor repair, with missing window slats so the windows wouldn’t close and holes in the mosquito nets that let in lots of mosquitoes. There was no soundproofing, and some very noisy children were there during our stay, which made for an unpleasant mix. The staff were very friendly, and the hammock area was nice. Still, I was very glad to leave.

The beds were soft, and each room had a hammock. Staff were friendly, and there was free private parking, plus coffee and tea. The common area was beautiful, and the place was easy to find, near the ocean. The shower was cold, though there’s no air conditioning in the room, so a cold shower can feel good. There was also a bit of mold in the bathroom.

The staff are lovely, and the place has a relaxed, homey feel. It stays quiet during sleeping hours, the kitchen is well equipped, and there’s plenty of parking, free coffee, and a water dispenser. Stores and restaurants are an easy walk away if you need food or drinks. Prices are extremely fair for the location. This was the best hostel I stayed at during my two weeks in Costa Rica and Panama. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.
