We hadn’t been back since 2006, and it was lovely to return. It’s still beautiful, and somehow even better than before. Thanks to Jacqueline and Marcelo for keeping it that way, and to our host Ralf for making our stay so lovely.

Breakfast was served every morning and was really good. The staff are on site, helpful, and ready to meet whatever needs come up. The grounds are well cared for, with lovely plants and landscaping, and the pool area is very nice. It’s a quaint, private spot right by the ocean, and our stay was peaceful and pleasant. I’d definitely stay here again on the east coast.

The service was the best, and everything we ate was delicious. They even cut fresh coconuts from the palms in the morning. My husband and I also really enjoyed chatting with the owner. It’s been a few years since we visited, and I hope we can go back this year. I love this place.

Our cabana stayed comfortable even through the rainstorms, and the grounds around the wonderful pool are beautifully maintained. Ralph was attentive and full of helpful information about local places to visit and things to see. Be sure to take the path down to the water for the beaches and lovely ocean views. Puerto Viejo, manzanillo, and other beach towns are an easy drive away. We spent three wonderful days at La diosa and would recommend staying there on your next vacation.
