The wildlife and fishing keep bringing me back. I’ve been here many times over the past 10 years, and it’s become one of my favorite places. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve ever known. I almost don’t want to tell people about it in case too many come, but you and yours should get to share the experience.

It’s a genuinely rural spot, run by an Italian family. I found the service lacking, and the owners could use some hospitality training. Even basics like coffee and food had limited choices and portions. There are a few other places nearby, and I’d suggest giving those a try too, since the hospitality might be better.

The feeder area was great, and Andrea was a wonderful host. His boat trips were amazing, and he really went out of his way to find the target birds I wanted to see.

In 24 hours we saw 101 bird species, three kinds of monkeys, three kinds of reptiles, and a sloth. The boat trips with Andrea in the morning and Alonzo in the afternoon were both fantastic. They were friendly, enthusiastic, and knew their stuff. Andrea and his team made the stay special. Our room was comfortable and clean, and there were lots of interesting birds and plants around the property. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Dinner was a treat too: probably the best handmade pasta I’ve ever had, catfish caught that day, lamb raised on the property by Andrea's family, and fresh vegetables, all served with a smile. Truly unforgettable. Thank you so much!

The host was very accommodating, and the meals were nicely prepared with fresh ingredients from the farm. The coffee and chocolate were fantastic too. It’s a wonderful place to stay before heading out by boat to explore the birds in Cano Negro Park. The accommodation was very clean.
