The host made this stay, so warm and personable, and always quick to reply. We felt secure with the gate, and the gardens were lovely and calm, with the river running behind the property. The place had what we needed, plus daily cleaning, fresh organic eggs, and even a welcome Christmas basket one evening. Having a washer and dryer was handy too. I’d happily return again and again. My only suggestion is softer beds, though that may be personal preference. Everything else was a 12 out of 10.
We loved the peaceful setting, especially the private hot tub and little paths leading down to a stream and a small farm with chickens and goats. The shared pool was spotless, and shops and town were an easy drive away. Booking through Airbnb was smooth from beginning to end. The place was very clean, and the host was wonderful. I’d recommend it to anyone.
Max was an outstanding host, kind, humble, and full of useful local knowledge about places to visit, restaurants, and where to shop for food or souvenirs. We also enjoyed fresh eggs from the farm and local coffee. The small homes sit beside a little farm, on beautifully cared-for grounds beside a bubbling creek that you can hear from the deck. The accommodation was very nice. There are hammocks and benches around the property, plus a private hot tub and shared gas grill, pool, and laundry for the five homes.
The creekside hammocks were my favorite place to read, and a soak in the hot tub was a lovely way to end the evening. In the mornings, coffee with the birds was such a peaceful start. The gardens are beautiful, and Bukala Village is a relaxing place to stay while still being close to La Fortuna’s adventures. I’d happily recommend it and hope to return.
We loved being surrounded by nature and hearing the birds and river. The house was kept in good shape and cleaned every day. The farm animals were a big hit with our kids, who are 9 and 2. They had a blast playing with and feeding the hens, lambs, baby chicks, bunnies, geese, and ducks during our five-day stay.
