We liked having a kitchen, since we could cook lunch and dinner and restaurant prices in Monteverde can be high. It was also convenient for attractions nearby, and less than 10 minutes by car from Santa Elena. The place was quiet and very clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely. We’d definitely stay again.

Quiet, very clean, and reasonably priced, with friendly staff. A standout little family-run hotel.

Everyone was so polite and nice. It’s family-owned, and the room was clean and a good size, though there’s no AC. The bathroom could be better: the toilet and mirror are too small, there isn’t much hot water, and there are no shelves for your things. Still, it’s a cute place to stay.

The hosts adjusted breakfast around what our kids would eat, and let us pick the time. We had pancakes on two mornings, then toast and eggs another day. The family who owns the place is really nice. There’s a shared kitchen and a few games in the common room. We were alone there for most of our visit, so had that space to ourselves. No AC, but the fan was fine for my family. The beds were just okay, and the location worked for us since we had a car.

I liked being away from the touristy parts of town. The family running this hotel was very nice, and I was surprised they offered breakfast cooking and laundry for a small fee. My room was clean and the bed comfortable, with cable too. There’s no AC, though the weather here is mild. Thanks for the hospitality!
