Five of us stayed three nights in unit #9. It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, so everyone had a private bathroom, though only one bathroom is attached to a bedroom. Lighting was limited, as it has been in most of the places we stayed in CR apart from our first hotel. There were only four chairs for the five of us, two outside and two inside, but when we asked for another, staff brought one quickly. The staff were attentive and helpful, including arranging tuk tuks for trips into town. Puerto Viejo is too far to walk, but the beach is a quick walk away, and there’s a market and restaurants close by. Laundry service costs $5 per kg. We dropped it off in the morning and got it back folded in the afternoon, then paid at check-out.

The beach is just across the road, about a 5-10 minute walk away, and there’s a real sense of peace and quiet here. We had a wonderful stay at Namuwoki Lodge. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the spacious lodges had everything we needed, including very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom. There’s a nice on-site restaurant with fairly priced breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a pool for cooling off. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

There are lots of agutis and birds in the garden, and now and then you might spot monkeys too. The staff were really friendly, and both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. I’d happily go back anytime.

It’s a lovely spot, quiet because it’s a little outside the main town, and only about a 10-minute walk from the beach. The rooms were spotless and cleaned beautifully every day. The staff were kind and super helpful, and they were very accommodating with my no-dairy requests at breakfast. Highly recommended.

We had great food here, with a delicious breakfast and solid options for dinner. The service was excellent too, especially Yeudy, Bryon, Alex, and the young waiter at the restaurant, who were all so kind and helpful. The cabañas feel tucked into the jungle, with peaceful, safe grounds full of wildlife, insects, and lush plants. Everything was clean and well maintained, and there was good parking. Laundry was incredibly fast and very affordable. It’s about a 10-minute drive to the town center, so having a car helps, though the free bikes are a big plus. I’d definitely stay again!
