The trail behind the place was a real treat, and the service was friendly and helpful. We saw an anteater, sloths, and exotic birds along the way. Breakfast was good, and the location made it easy to reach nearby attractions, all within a 30 minute drive.

The gardens were a delight, with so many kinds of plants that every walk felt like a gardening treat. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, close to La Fortuna shopping and restaurants. Rooms were sparse, but they brought us a fridge when we asked. There was a coffee pot, though we had to buy coffee ourselves if we wanted a second cup in the morning. My only complaint was the hot water, it wasn’t working, and after they tried to fix it, it came and went randomly.

This family-run hotel was so friendly. We spotted a sloth right by our room in the garden, and it stayed there all day and into the next morning. There was a toucan by the pool and a hummingbird out front. Great spot for a coffee tour, night wildlife tour, or waterfall tour. We loved it.

You’re right out in nature here, but still close to town, restaurants, shops, and attractions. The couple running the place were incredibly nice and helpful, and made our stay wonderful. There’s a pool onsite and a restaurant serving a lovely breakfast. The cheese and bacon were especially fresh and good. Rooms have the basics, though the mattresses are older.

The main drawback was how far it is from town, so you’ll need a taxi or Uber if you want to eat out. The rooms are large, clean, and have AC, and housekeeping kept everything tidy. Breakfast was good and affordable. A very nice stay.
