A rainforest setting, wild orchids, sloths, beautiful grounds, excellent staff, and well-appointed rooms made this a whole new level of resort for us. We hadn't experienced anything like it before. The private hot spring plunge pool was a highlight. Set your expectations high, because they may still be exceeded.

We spotted a sloth in the trees, a toucan, and loads of flowers during our stay. The tent was beautiful and luxurious, tucked into the rainforest with plenty of privacy, and our room felt cozy and private. The French toast and Shakshuka were standouts, some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were so warm and personal from the moment we arrived. I had an amazing time at Nayara Tented Camp in Costa Rica. A perfect mix of comfort, nature, and wonderful hospitality.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary here, and the tropical, luxurious downtime we wanted was there. The staff were attentive and incredible. Alexander drove me around the grounds several times while we looked for toucans after I mentioned wanting to see one. Our favorite restaurant was la terrazza, and the food at the restaurants was good, though meals aren't included and the costs add up. The tented room was very comfortable, with an extra-wide bed, a large private heated pool, a tub, a shower, and an outdoor shower. There are several restaurants, a wine bar, an ice cream bar, heated and unheated outdoor pools, golf cart service, complimentary laundry, and more. The one drawback was some light construction noise near our room during the day. It interrupted the quiet nature sounds we wanted to relax to, with banging and drilling going on, though the noise wasn't too bad and we still had a lovely stay. In response to the hotel's reply: we were there in mid to late December, in room T20, so this wasn't the off season.

Raquel and Kianny at the front desk were kind, informative, and very helpful with our questions. Erick and Jose at Ayla, the Mediterranean restaurant, were great too. The whole team paid close attention and made our honeymoon feel first class. The resort sits right in the rainforest, which gives it a relaxing feel, and the views of the volcano from the room are breathtaking. Our room was beautifully equipped with a plunge pool, volcano views, and an outdoor shower. Gorgeous property. We'd gladly return in the future and highly recommend it.

The drive from the airport takes about 2.5-3 hours, and the road can make some people queasy. Weather is unpredictable too, with rain sometimes arriving at a moment's notice, but that's when nature comes alive. The Arenal Volcano view is direct, and seeing hot gases coming from the crater feels like a bucket-list sight. You're right in the rainforest, with attentive staff, a modern camp, plunge pools, and volcano views. A beautiful property that I highly recommend. A few tips: Nayara Garden is another property, so book Nayara Tented Camp directly if you want the volcano view and plunge pool. You can ask to have breakfast brought to your tent each morning, which is a wonderful experience. Laundry is complimentary, so take advantage of that too.
