Nice Place Hostel is quiet enough for a good night's sleep but still close enough to walk to what you need in La Fortuna. The common spaces are pleasant, and the kitchen is clean and handy for cooking. A good fit for backpackers and other budget travelers.

The room had a musty smell, and a member of the waitstaff walked in without knocking or saying anything before checkout time. On the plus side, there's air conditioning, a quiet location, a spacious kitchen, helpful staff, and good value for the price.

We stayed here in 2024 and really loved the place. Great location, lovely rooms and facilities, plus a terrace.

Kathy is so sweet and always up for a chat. She does her best to help with anything you need. The place is on a quiet street near the center, and the little garden is nice in the evening. The kitchen is very neat and has everything you need, and we were glad our room had air conditioning. A perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. I'd definitely recommend it.

Katherine, who manages the place, was very helpful and arranged transportation for us to La Fortuna and for our onward trip. It's close to shops and restaurants while staying away from the noise. The place is clean, and the communal kitchen is well equipped. Most people cooked dinner or made breakfast there, and coffee is provided. There are enough tables and chairs for eating, though more comfortable lounge seating would be nice. I'd definitely stay again.
