They are also close to supermarkets and restaurants. The area where we are located is filled with nature and tranquility. The garden and courtyard are perfect for relaxing, with cozy hammocks, and the beach is only 50 m away. Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, and Puerto Viejo are easy to reach. There are lots of sloths around, and staff will point them out if they're there. It was quiet and safe, and a great base for exploring. The houses are modern, comfortable, air-conditioned, and have fully equipped kitchens, with options for 2-6 people. We've not seen this kind of quality and place anywhere else in Costa Rica! Everything has been completely renovated, so older reviews definitely don't match the current experience. We'd love to come back for longer.

We saw a sloth in one of the trees on the grounds during our January 2025 stay. The setting is peaceful and close to the beach, with restaurants an easy walk away. The cottages are spacious, air-conditioned and comfortable, with little kitchens for cooking your own meals and porches to relax on. The grounds are lovely, and the staff were great. The place has been completely renovated and looks beautiful. We highly recommend it.

The setting is what makes this area so special. Rent an electric bike and you can explore six or seven amazing beaches, lots of wildlife, and restaurants at different price points. There’s a positive vibe, whether you want to take it easy or get into the party scene. The beach, supermarket, and restaurants are all walkable from the place, which is clean, nice, and secure. Juan, the manager, is very friendly and welcoming. This was my second visit. I’d say the accommodation itself is an 8/10, while the surroundings are a 10/10. The Costa Rican Caribbean is one of the best spots in the world, I’d say.

The staff and management are very caring and helpful, and housekeeping is on point. The bungalows are huge inside, easily big enough for a family, and the prices are very fair. Ours had two floors, an ocean view, air conditioning, and a kitchen. It’s very quiet here, just a one-minute walk to the beach.

We ended up switching places after three days. The owner acted as if it was our fault that things weren’t working, and we had trouble arranging excursions through the front desk. At one point, they said an excursion listed in the brochure wasn’t even an excursion. The front desk computer was broken, so we couldn’t fill out the paperwork to book one. Our sink broke, and the toilet sometimes wouldn’t flush. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, so we couldn’t call for a taxi and had to walk to another hotel to get one. Some days our room was cleaned, other days it wasn’t. The front desk was only there from 10 to 7. Restaurants and places to get food or water are biking distance away, and they don’t provide anything.
